Reflections on Grass

The early morning sun is FIERCE in Florida. Along waterfront sidewalks, shadows are strong….even of the grass. At eye level the image is remarkable … a miniature yet life-sized forest.

From an original photograph, I transfer the image to sterling silver, and then etch it deeply. The image is then hand-sawn from the metal sheet, and refined to smoothness with files.

The cuff bracelet is formed by hammering it around a mandrel; once completed, it is cleaned and polished. Patina is applied to make the images pop; a final polish, and simple shadows of grass have turned into a statement bracelet.
