Palm Frond Cuff

Palm trees are the tree in Florida. Palm fronds are lovely. Photos of palm fronds are interesting. Etchings of palm frond photos turned into sterling silver bracelet cuffs are......remarkably interesting and lots of fun to wear!

From an original photograph, I transfer the image to sterling silver, and then etch it deeply. The image is then hand-sawn from the metal sheet, and refined to smoothness with files.

The cuff bracelet is formed by hammering it around a mandrel; once completed, it is cleaned and polished. Patina is applied to make the images pop; a final polish, and simple shadows of grass have turned into a statement bracelet.
